The DSi is almost the perfect handheld for DS emulation using Twilight Menu. So of course, it is made better by USB C charging.
This time rather than replacing the port, I chose to install it along side it. Making a cut out where the hand strap cut out was.
Using enamel wire, I just wired it to the original charge port, and routed the wire around the cart slot using a bit of hot glue to hold it in place.
*** I recommend using USB A - C chargers only with this mod
